 WEEK 16 – Should be a movie

This is a repeated theme from a previous year, so yet again is very hard to come up with someone who “should be a movie”.

If I am honest everyone who has been alive since cameras were invented should be made to leave a video recording linked to themselves and therefore everyone “should be a movie”.

Week 9 (February 26th -March 3rd ): Disaster

From Amy Johnson Crow - Our ancestors were no strangers to hardship and loss. We should remember those stories as much as we remember the stories of triumph. Our ancestors faced any number of disasters — natural, personal, financial. Perhaps you've had a disaster in your research. How did they (or you) overcome it? (Or maybe they didn't?) Where I thought last week’s theme was hard this weeks has been even harder. I honestly couldn’t think of any “ disaster ” linked to any of my family. Yes, I had Irish ancestors but none that I could link to the potato famine, I haven’t found any that were on sinking ships like the Titanic, no bankruptcy that I knew of and I was very close to saying “this theme is a “ disaster ” as I can’t do it.” Then as I was really losing all hope of being able to do a good story, I received a “ hint ” on ancestry linked to a distant relative – the husband of my 3 rd Great Aunt, George Cousins to be precise. WEEK 52 – me, myself and I

  WEEK 52 – me, myself and I Well as the title say “me, myself and I” it is all about me. As per previous stories, I have completed another year of 52 ancestors, I have also found some of the titles but not all for previous years (I am still hoping to find them all so I can do those as well). You would think with 14,000+ people in the tree I would have no problems with who to write about, however there is probably less than 200 people that I actually am aware of, have photos of, can recall stuff about etc, so some stories are really hard to sort out. Yes this year has taken me longer than it should for some to be written but I got there in the end. I plan to do the 52 in 52 in 2024 if it is being ran and i would like to find the missing titles for the other years. I also plan to do an "on this day" story every day linked to the family/ancestors. I'm not sure if it will be a blog or just on paper to make into a book (yes this is my plan for the 52 ancestors in 52 we...
