Hilda was born 12 th February 1910 in Bradford, she married William Liddle Lackey on 14 th June 1932 at the Parish Church in Peterborough. She died 30 th October 1979 in Peterborough. Hilda was my Grandmother, but I never met her, which in 1 way is a shame as I like all things witchcraft, but in another was good as she wouldn’t have liked me. Week 23 (June 3 rd -9 th ): Wedding From Amy Johnson Crow - June is a traditional month for "weddings" , so what better time to highlight the story of an ancestor's wedding? Maybe you've found something surprising in a marriage record or you have an ancestral "wedding" photo. As I have already used my parents “ wedding ” for the “long line” theme I am going to use another Lackey ancestor for this weeks theme of “ wedding ”. The couple pictured right are James (Jim) Gardiner Lackey and Eva Margaret Morley. They married in October 1949 in Willsden Middlesex. VE DAY 75years anniversay May 8th 2020 This year marks 75years of VE day, and we will be celebrating it. I will amend this post as and when things get sorted over the next few days etc.  For the time being i am adding this picture/document I have made linked to my Grandad Reg and his time in the army. Me and the children have made them for other family members as well.
