Covid-19 (Coronavirus/CV) We will survive this.....(or die trying to) (Week 3)

Image
So week 3 begins and we are still (semi) normal DAY 15 - Tuesday 31st March 2020 The cute fluffy kitten now matches this pic to right. I'm sure she's been possessed by the Devil and is planning to take over the world 1 drop of blood at a time (my arms are covered in claw and teeth marks, as are my legs! and the kids are the same.) She can be laid asleep 1 minutes and then attacking you like mad the next, then goes back to sleep like nothing has happened. I know she was named after a witch (Phoebe) but she doesn't have to act like one. And if she continues the pic to right will happen!!! Is 12:30pm too early for alcohol??? (asking for a friend). The older 2 had been up for less than 20 minutes when they were all arguing - 2 over a carton of apple juice i had asked for and the other because we hadn't let the dog out and he had to do it. Cake making failed! It was like an over grown biscuit. (tasted nice none the less), and this is why i usually use packet mixe

week 13 - (March 25th - 31st) - Nearly forgotten

Image
From Amy Johnson Crow - Who in your research has been nearly forgotten? Another angle you could take: using a record that was nearly forgotten. For this  week’s theme of “ nearly forgotten ” I have decided to go with my Great Uncle Victor A (? Arthur after his father) Bland/Thompson. The main times he has ever been mentioned is at funerals as “the deceased brother of……”, therefore to me he seems “ nearly forgotten ”, only once did my Nan Doreen Bland talk about him (and that was only as I questioned her on him). Victor has been quite a mystery (and still is). Word from Doreen was that he was born a few years before her, so about 1922-24, he was in the Royal Navy and died at sea in the 1940’s. It is not known whether he is a “Bland” (supposed Mother’s maiden name) or a Thompson (supposed Fathers name)

Covid-19 (Coronavirus/CV) We will survive this.....(or die trying to) (Week 2)

This is week 2 of self-isolation. I'm still alive and haven't lost the plot yet..... DAY 8 - Tuesday 24th March 2020 Today seems to have really dragged and 5 minutes seems like an hour. I had tried to do some bits on the family tree but the site keeps crashing (guessing everyone has had the same idea). J, K & B have all done the school/college work that has been set for them. I've told them if they get it done in the morning they can do their own thing for the rest of the day. I had a food delivery order arrive from Approved foods. Some of the bits in "the cupboard filler mystery box" we wont eat but they can go to the food bank. So will help someone. The box it came in was huge and I said could make B into a turtle with it, however, this has turned into him being a robot. (There will be more on this over the next few days as we progress with it). I've replaced the broken tumble dryer pipe with a metal one, hopefully this one wont rip like t

Thanks to my sons school putting him on self isolation, my whole house is on lock-down for the next who-knows-how-long! I shall be adding to this daily as we go (each post shall have a week on it). I have 3 children eldest J, middle K and youngest B this is how they shall be referred. There are the animals the dog, 3 cats, a kitten and a bearded dragon. I think this could make interesting reading in a book for the future generations. We shall see. DAY 1 - Tuesday 17th March 2020 Happy St Patrick's Day. The luck of the Irish certainly isn't with us at the moment. Today K's school have decided that he is to self-isolate even though he has no symptoms of CV19 but they don't want to risk having him in school. On Monday my middle son K was sent home from school with dizziness, feeling like he was going to pass out and chest pains (NOT CV related, but he has an underlying chest/heart complaint that the docs and hospital are investigating and this happens loads to h
