coronavirus (covid-19, CV19) we will survive this (or die trying to....) week 16

DAY 106 - Tuesday 30th June 2020

I bet this applies to many pets, as they have been over-   fed during lock-down. Flame, my ginger cat is a tubby    thing, but she always has been. The vet has said she is just a big cat, but it doesn't help that half the neighbours, the local shop and old peoples home all feed her. Oreo the boys Dad's cat is also big. He is part Tuxedo and part farm cat, so is a very big boy. He was put on a diet as i said he was getting fat - but that's because he's an indoor cat, was eating in the evening and then sleeping so not burning it off.
Last night was eventful to say the least! Me and K ended up at CV19 central - aka the local hospital! The one place we have managed to avoid over the past 15weeks. BUT due to the pain in his elbow getting worse and the fact it kept going cold and he has dropped things - i rang the NHS phoneline for advice. A nurse rang me back and asked questions and said a Dr would ring us. The Dr rang and said they needed to see him and someone would ring with an appointment time. They did ring, but plans had changed and we were going to A&E incase they needed to do an xray. So armed with face masks and hand gel off we went. Got booked in, took a seat, got called through, few questions said would be back. A different member of staff came in and prodded and poked, said she needed speak to someone and would be back. Came back a while later to tell us pain killers, rest and see own GP if it continues. FFS not what i needed to hear. So after an hour we got home. We removed caots and  hung up away frrom others, stripped off clothes that had been visible at hospital, used antibacterial wipes on skin exposed at hospital, put clothes in washing machine on hot wash, (re-did antibacterial wipes), clean clothes on and into bed. Fingers crossed we dont have CV19 or the past 15 weeks have been for nothing!!! BUT us and the staff had masks on and they had gloves and aprons and did wash hands when took gloves off to leave room.

Phoebe is hyper as anything, sshes not calm and spaced out from her op at all! I hope she doesnt injure herself with her usual running and jumping about, but i guess if it was hurting she wouldnt do it.

DAY 107 - Wednesday 1st July 2020

I'm not sure about munchkins but i do seem to be doing just as much washing as before lockdown, yet the kids are not wearing school        uniforms (or much to be honest). Pj's and pants seem to be their        choice of clothing! And i'm only getting dressed if i have to. As for small footprints the only ones of these are from the animals coming in from outside when it has been wet.

How the hell are we in July already? I really have no idea. In one way this year seems to be going really quickly and in another it seems to be going really slowly and dragging. Not long until christmas now we are in the 2nd half of the year. It's scary to think i will have an adult son by Christmas!

K has been given information about an international youth camp running next year. He likes the idea and wants to go. The only downside is the cost that we need to pay. So we are in the process of trying to come up with fundraising ideas to aid this. I would love for him to go and will find a way for this to happen as it could be a once in a lifetime expirence for him.

I have received some free samples from a company to try out in exchange for an honest review, seems fair to me. I just hope that if i dont like them or dont get on with them they accept my reviews stating this and it doesnt go against me receiving future products. i will be adding my reviews to my personal blog not the family history/family general one (eg this one).

I didnt get up until 2pm today, i must have needed the sleep. However, this did cause issues as we were meant to be at Bs school this morning.

DAY 108 - Thursday 2nd July 2020

This is me every single day, lets start the day with multiple cups of coffee, and enough snacks to feed an army. Keep them all within reach of me so i dont have to leave my (not so) comfy sofa! I havent managed to find big tubs of ice cream though, but have been told of a shop that is meant to sell BIG ben & jerry's cookie dough, not been in to look though.                                                                                                                                                 The weather is cold and wet and horrible again, i wish mother mature would decide what she wants us to have! You cant tell from 1 day to the next whether to put on shorts and vest top or jeans and thick woolly jumper! FGS, make up your mind!                                                                                                                        The external drive linked to the computer that has ALL of my files going back to 2007 has now also died and i can't access anything on it. I seriously am close to throwing all electronic devices out of a window and hoping for the best linked to them. I have actually set about taking it to bits, so there's an even higher chance that it wont do anything after this.

I am getting more and more annoyed with a company i placedan order with, a big order of nearly £200! They told me on 27th June it had been dispatched and would be 1-3days for delivery. They sent me a tracking number which when clicked on opens up at the company but says tracking number not valid. I have tried to ring company to get an automated message saying "due to CV19 we are not taking calls at the moment, please go to our online help page." SO, i go to the online help page and it says to use the online chat, go to the online chat and its automated chat bot and says "all agents are currently busy, please send us an email or try later". I have tried later and get the same thing and i have sent an email to them, the reply says "please go to our online help page for more help and advice". FFS! i've now gone full 360 and round and round in circles, still no order and still no answer on tracking number. It's safe to say i wont be using the company again.

DAY 109 - Friday 3rd July 2020

OMG! this would sooooo be me. I absolutely HATE spiders, and the thought of one crawling over my hand makes me shudder. A few years ago one fell from the ceiling and caught my hair as it fell, i went into full hysterical screaming mode! The spider didnt live long as the dog came to me where i was screaming, he saw it on the floor and chased it and pulled it's leg off and left it in pieces on the floor. He does the same with crickets that escape from the lizard tank!

Today has been very wet and really windy again, it's safe to say summer has been and gone. So much for them saying it was only meant to last 2days and there was another heatwave following. But to be fair the weather reporters couldn't get it right if they stuck their head out of a window whilst broadcasting the weather report!

I have today proved the DWP wrong yet again! I really wish that their staff knew what they were saying and on about before giving out wrong information, especially when the .gov website has the info on it stating the opposite of what they are saying. Good job someone sensible eventually saw my messages!

DAY 110 - Saturday 4th July 2020

Looks like the dog is having fun, i dont envy the owners having to clean it (or the bathroom afterwards). Me and K have been looking at fundraising ideas and he said about sitting in a mud bath! It's meant to be good for the skin if you get the right stuff!                                                                                                                                                      The teenagers didn't emerge from their beds until mid afternoon, by which time their Dad had already been and taken B back to his, so they are now here for the weekend.                                                                                                                                                                         I went for a coffee with next door today (well didn't go far but to their kitchen), this is the 1st house house apart from my own i've been in since before lockdown. She needed me to help her with a printer, which i did. And we spoke about K and the international camp, she has said if he will do odd jobs for her she will pay him to do so and will also recommend him to friends that may need odd bits doing. So hopefully we can get the money he needs for it.

My new pj's came today (i saw new they were 2nd hand but new to me) and on them it says "sometimes i wake up grumpy". B saw them and goes not sometimes all the time. Cheeky devil! I have customised them though as they were long sleeved top and trousers, they are now short sleeved top and shorts and i have used fabric pens to go over the design as some of it had cracked. I just need to finish sewing the shorts hem and we are done.

My parcel is still not here and the tracking still doesnt work. I wont be using the company again as the customer service is none existent. at least most companies have someone answering emails if you contact them, but this company just sends automated ones!

I am sooooo tired it is unreal. BUT i know if i go to bed early i will still be awake for a few hours.

Happy independence day to my friends in USA.

DAY 111 - Sunday 5th July 2020

OOOOHH what a great idea! I wonder how hard it would be to make one? I have loads of scrap wood in the garden..... however it would have to be vodka and redbull not JD and coke. I don't like the taste of JD and i get very violent if i drink coke. Every place of work should have one these installed i reckon.                                                                                                                                                                          The kitten is spinning round in circles on the cat tree round a pole chasing her own tail, shes going to be very dizzy when she tries to walk. This could be very funny to watch.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    We have started to tidy up ready for my sister coming to visit next week. I so wish i was one of those people that kept a tidy "show home" all the time, it would be easier, but i'm not. And add to that the fact i'm in constatnt pain and xant always do stuff it isn't kept tidy. oh well.

DAY 112 - Monday 6th July 2020

I now have an empty fridge and cupboards, ready to re-stock tomorrow when we go shopping (as money not in today!) LOL! And then i wonder why i've put weight back on!                                                                                                                                                                                          Today we did some more tidying, and i also painted the bathroom radiator black. K discovered a leak under the kitchen sink - not sure how long it has been leaking but the screw that holds the sink together had rusted away and therefore it was moving up and down. This has now been fixed. K has also cut most of the back grass again.he did ask why we cant get fake grass as be easier - yes it would but costs loads and we wont be able to put the tents up out there or anchor the bouncy castle. So not an option really sadly.

i have sat and sewed more badges on Bs blanket, i am slowly winning and have less to do than are already on it. He said he cant believe how heavy it is. I am also in the process of making a blanket for his scout teddy.

B asked what we are doing tomorrow and got the same answer as per this image - the same thing we have done every day for the past 3months, staying safe at home doing school work and not much else.  Me and K had a meeting with his teacher, she has no concerns on how he's doing, hes done the work etc. Most of his year group are back in school there's only about 1/3 not back in which is good going.
My sister has said she will go to primark before she comes up and get the boys some clothes, especially B as hes grown loads. Most need to be at his Dads house.
There is still no sign of my order of camp bits and the company have said they are going to re-issue it, i asked if they can get it done on next day as they couldnt issue a valid tracking number etc. they said no and it would be 7-10days. I have tried to log back into my account and it now says that my account doesn't exist. i'm NOT best pleased.`

Well we are now at the end of week 15, 3 more weeks of isolation for us, thanks to Ks doctor at the hospital saying he still needs to say in isolation a bit longer.
