Coronavirus (Covid-19, CV19) We will survive this (or die trying to).....week 12

So we have made it to week 12 of isolation (somehow), we are all still alive, a little bit crazier but never mind.

DAY 78 - Tuesday 2nd June 2020

Day 78 where do i start? Well, according to the above we are on Tuesday (this blog is the only real way i know where we are at!) I do see a resemblance between me and the worm - looking old, frizzy purplish hair, need more coffee! lol!

I've not worked out how we are on week 12, it has really dragged on and as i've said before the days and weeks are all merging into each other. More to the point i dont know how we have half way through 2020 already.

Phoebe decided today that she wanted to start her education and was trying
to steal a pen from my hand. I gave it to her so she stopped clawing at my
hand. She proceeded to bat it around the floor! She didn't quite master any writing, but she is still young. Whilst on the subject of Phoebe, she has now had the 1st of her injections and is allowed outside but not very far. She has been venturing out of the backdoor but not far. She is very timid and any noises she runs back in. We thought we had lost her this evening as we couldn't find her indoors, so K went outside to look for her and she was out there. none of us know how long she had been out bless her, but at least she didn't wander off.

I went to poundland (shop) in town as it's closing down; all stock was reduced to 75p, i managed to spend £77, (not all of this was mine though - £20 was the boys Dad;'s). But i've stocked up on pens and A4 lined paper and bits for them for school etc.

Today's weather doesn't know if it wants to be hot or cold or what. It's been changing throughout the day, but i have been told that it is turning cold and wet from tomorrow and the heat wave is over.

i received a message at tea time today saying that what looked like my black cat was over the other side of the estate again. J left his got got shoes and a top on and went to find out. He managed to see the cat but it wandered off before he could get close to it and it vanished. He was then chased out of the field by the owners - i thought people/farmers and asked if he had appologised and explained why there, and got a photo of the owners - a herd of cows!!! I so laughed at this!

 DAY 79 - Wednesday 3rd June 2020

This is sort of what i woke up to today! However, not table and

chairs blown over but the sun canopy trying to take flight from the
frame. It was only held in place by 3 pieces of velcro and 1 of the corner caps, if i hadnt got up when i did i may have been hunting the neighbours gardens or asking on FB if anyone has gained it!

K's teacher woke me up when she rang me to check all is ok. It was gone 10am. But there again i had been up most of the night with pain in my knee again.

Whoever made this homeschool schedule is onto something. I think this is how today could go for us. B has already mastered the making coffee  and carrying the recycling outside. J is going to learn engineering when he gets up and we will work on the rest!

The boys are going to have to do quite abit today as my back is killing me and not from the sunburn, but muscle and bone etc - normal pain i get in it, usually when i have overdone something, but i dont recall doing anything yesterday.

We realised at 11:30pm that Phoebe was missing and nowhere to be seen in the house, so K went out into the garden calling her and she came to him from under the decking - covered in spiderwebs and dirt! At least she didnt leave the garden.

Nothing much else to report from here.

DAY 80 - Thursday 4th June 2020

HAHA! I am very lucky in the fact Merlin has only ever chewed his toys, and not anything that he shouldn't do. He may be very bad when it comes to barking at anything and everything and chasing our cats but he could have chewed my house up!

Phoebe went missing today (again), luckily she was found sat on a sun lounger cushion in the shed. She was mewing quietly and shaking. She really does seem scared of the big wide world but there again it is huge compared to her.

B did his scout meeting and came 3rd in the online quiz that they did as the evenings activity. This was good as he appears to be the youngest member of the troup - his section are 10-14yr olds, but most seem to be 12+.

The weather today has been really bleeerrrrgh again. I'm hoping we havent seen the end of the summer, but who knows.
I've sat and sewed more badges onto B's blanket today, and have
more to do when they arrive. It's starting to look good. He has all of his SJA ones on the front, as well as where he's been, the CV19 badges (as this has been a big part of his life this year) and then a few random ones linked to things he likes - thomas the tank, peter rabbit, pokemon, baking etc. He has some on the back as well.

DAY 81 - Friday 5th June 2020

No-one has noticed that we have gained a pillow - it's not actually a pillow but a dog! (not mine i have to say as my dog is black and white and not fluffy like this!)

The following 2 pics are soooo me,
i have boxes and tubs full of sea
glass in various sizes, shapes and
colours. But it doesn't stop me from

getting more whenever i go to the beach.  It's sort of like an addiction, you know that you don't really need it but you want it all the same. And even more so if you find pretty colours or shapes or unusual bits of it!  I've not been to the beach collecting it today, but have spent a good few hours sat on the floor cleaning it (with wet wipes to remove dirt) and then placing in a bowl of oil to coat it and remove the etching/frosting on its outer layer and then buffering it up to remove excess oil with a cloth. Some has been sorted into size and colour pots, others have just been dumped back in a tub of similar shades and need sorting. I now know why people do this as soon as they get new glass as i have loads still to do.

DAY 5782 - Saturday 6th June 2020

Today i have had to throw out 1/2 a loaf of bread, some burger rolls, 2 hot dog rolls and a whole pack of wraps as they had all grown blue n green fur coats, not that they need one in this weather.

The wind is really strong still and the hedge is blowing in all directions. With how it's moving it reminds me of Ks hair as its long and floppy.

In just over a weeks time it will become compulsory to wear a face
mask on any form of public transport, and if you don't you will be
fined and not allowed to travel. So i have spent part of today trying
to make a mask for B to wear as he often comes and helps me on the
bus with shopping etc. I did find this really funny though. I do think in some ways it's abit late to be making people wear masks now, it should have been done at the start of lock-down. But then BOJO and his cronies all seem to think differently to 99.9% of the population. I wouldn't be surprised if they all co-share 1/2 a brain cell between them!

DAY 83 - Sunday 7th June 2020

Haha, this hasn't been a problem recently, but it does come and go as it feels like it and sometimes drops out. It's not connecting thats the issues it's staying connected!

Today i've not really done much yet i have no energy and feel like i've overdone loads of things! The joys of chronic fatigue illness!

DAY 84 - Monday 8th June 2020

So is it day 84, day 148 or 84 years.....I really have no idea, it certainly feels much longer than it has been.

B had his opticians appointment this morning. His eyes have changed slightly and he needs new glasses. It was very strange in the shop, yes others have lines and stuff, but obviously as they are in close contact with you they all had face masks and then face shields over the top, gloves and aprons and were cleaning seats and equipment as soon as you had left the seat/room, which is good. They didn't have either pair of glasses he liked offline but has found a pair he does like.

The images below are SOOOOO today! I really do feel that i have gone totally crazy and lost the plot as B has really tried my patience. He has had an answer for everything even when 1 wasn't required. He has refused to do school work, has argued, shouted, screamed and cried. I even asked if 2:50pm was too early for alcohol! A friend said no as its 5pm somewhere, and this is why they are my friend. lol!

He eventually calmed down and listened to what i was saying and got on with his work. Once this had been done he was allowed to do his own thing of playing on laptop, which has been the agreement since day 1. I even told him if he carried on i was ringing the school and he could go back from tomorrow, he didn't like that at all!

I really hope today is a 1-off and B isn't going to be like it again as he has proper driven me mad, i don't think there's enough alcohol in the world if he stays like this for days on end!

UPDATE: i'm 99% certain that things can't get any worse today BUT i'm not wanting to risk that 1%. B has since broke my washing line (metal pole) after he hit it with a plastic baseball bat! Work that logic out! He was asked to put the ground stakes for bouncy castle in the shed, he went to do it and yelled us, there was a yellow spider with white cross on its back and a wasps nest in the shed! Upon searching the net we have concluded the spider is a garden spider and not poisonous (thankfully), and the wasps nest is between golf and tennis ball size. I have contacted the council via email but will ring tomorrow to get it removed as not safe with kids and animals.

I am now drinking cider. I don't know how much more of this i can take!

so this is the end of our "compulsory lcok-down" of 12weeks to keep K safe, BUT as things are still not 100% safe in the UK, (and likely to get worse) we shall still be shielding for a bit longer. Scotland has the right idea, not eased lock-down and those shielding for health reasons have another 7weeks minimum of it! Shame BOJO hasn't got the same sense the Scottish team have.
