52 ancestors Week 26 (June 24th -30th ): Middle
From Amy Johnson Crow: (It seems
appropriate for being halfway through!) Middle names. Middle children. Middle
of the country. How might you interpret "middle"?
For this weeks theme of “middle” I have decided to go with my “middle” son Mackenzie. Although he was the biggest at birth of the 3 boys and was nick-named “tubby-boo” due to be very chunky, he lost this as he became a toddler and more active.
He is now one of the smallest in
his year group at school and is quite small for his age. But this is due to an
on-going heart and chest condition that he suffers from.
When he was a baby and young boy his hair was really
blonde (as a baby he had lots of hair but you couldn't see it unless you were up close to him) but as he’s got older his hair has got darker and much longer, it has
always been curly though.
Many “middle” children will say they
don’t get as much attention as their siblings do, but I would say he possibly
gets more than his brothers do due to his heart and chest condition and the fact we need to keep
close watch on him, not to mention all of the hospital appointments he has to
attend, bless him.
This is so true about rules and the 3 boys. Jarred the eldest thinks he makes them, Kenzie is why we have them as he was the wild child with no cares or fears and Blake the youngest doesn’t seem to think they apply to him! I have news for all 3 of them - it's my house and i make the rules and they apply to all of you!
(Due to a laptop malfunction i can't add any photos of Kenzie, but i will do as soon as i can access them or another device they are on.)
