NEW YEAR update

So 2020 wasn't what most of us planned, hoped or expected it to be. We spent more time at home, had to work from home and home schooled our kids  more than the paid teachers taught them. The covid 19, CV19 or Coronavirus didn't go away even after we were all placed in lockdowns (even though they say it dies are 14days of isolation). BUT this maybe due to the fact that people can't follow rules, admittedly the rules kept being changed on us daily an weekly.

There was a 2nd strain of the virus that started going around which seemed to be much worse than the 1st was. And vaccines were found within 5months of starting to look for them (how come they have spent decades and millions looking for a cure for cancer and aids and never found one???)

I had started blogging on here weekly but in days entries, i had hoped to continue until we were out of lockdown and free from CV19. However, when my laptop died the great death it did, i lost all of my entries and memes and stuff and only got as far as July 2020.

One of the last entries was that my son K had been selected to attend an international scout camp in Poland happening this year. He started fund raising for it and was doing well, he did a sponsored sit in jelly-slime for 3hrs, had collected prizes to run a big raffle and then it was decided on a safety reason that the camp was being totally cancelled. Proper gutted for him as would have been a one-off expirience. He will be too old for the next one in 4years time unless he can go as a leader.

My laptop died a great death in june 2020 (maybe it had Covid who knows) and i lost loads of documents, photos and things, this is in the process of trying to be recoveered but not hapening easily.

Due to the UK situation halloween didnt happen in my normal style of a big party with loads of people at the house. We had a few decorations up and played a few games just the 4 of us. Finger crossed for being allowed a party this year.

My eldest son J's 18th birthday party was cancelled due to CV19, so he had planned to go for few drinks with me and his best mate, however this didnt happen either as he was isolating due to someone on his college course testing positive for CV19. Drinks night was re-planned for the weekend he ended isolation, however BOJO the prime minister had other plans and our area of the UK was placed into a higher tier and part lockdown so pubs were shut and he couldn't go. He still hasnt had an "official drink in a pub" for his 18th birthday!

My work from home business with Oriflame took off and i reached Brand Partner GOLD before Christmas, my goal was SILVER, so i did better than i had hoped for. I got GOLD just 5 days after getting my SILVER, go me!!! If anyone wants to take a look at my website/shop you are more than welcome to do so and become a customer even if you dont live near me as orders can be delivered directly to your door when your order online. https://uk.oriflame.com/?store=amywatsonwhitehaven&personallist=76465d64-15d1-4b15-8f6c-92e7468f53d4

Various posts on facebook said that to get rid of CV19 we needed to close "the Jumanji board game" on new years eve so all the bad was shut inside. Well me and the boys at dead on midnight shouted "JUMNAJI" as loudly as we could (neighbours were shouting happy new year). Sadly, it didnt work and the whole of the UK is in yet another lockdown and we are home schooling the kids again and working from home.

I'm really hoping that things improve but i really cant see it happening. Some tool linked to the governemnt the other day declared that the UK will be back to normality by Easter this year! Things are changing daily so I can't see it happening to be honest.

CV19 daily diary is going to start up again (I have bits scribbled in word i just need to sort them to here). I do think that i'm going to publish them all to a book.
