Coronavirus (Covid-19, CV19) - We will survive this (or dye trying to)....week 8

How many people does this match on week 8???
NOT me that's for sure!

DAY 50 - Tuesday 5th May 2020

This isn't technically true, I wasn't even awake at 9:30am, jut after as the school rang to make sure everything is ok and woke me up. B was up, but then he's always up between 6-7am! J and K didnt emerge until after lunchtime from their beds!

Yes, we are on week 8 so parents evening is needed. I've passed on vital information - B is working really hard, he's doing more than others are doing. He turns up on time (sometimes before the teacher aka me even arrives). He's mastered making coffee, he loves the bouncy castle and trampoline. K has managed to get his work done on time, he has been late many days and the same excuse given of "i over-slept". He's quite happy playing on his laptop and killing monsters (thank god someone is killing them as i wouldnt want them getting us!) J has mastered the hibernation part of his animal management course and passed with flying colours, he has practised it every day! He has also used the "i over-slept" excuse many times. He is completing work that has been set. He is staying up very late and on his phone at all hours! All 3 boys are doing well and pj's are their new uniform.

Me and B have done some more VE day bits, including some for the window cleaner. We have done loads in his scrapbook on WW2 and VE day. I think we are sorted. We went and bought the crisps today and we have all of the other food as well.

DAY 51 - Wednesday 6th May 2020

Day 51, this starfish seems so happy, i wonder why??? I wouldn't be happy if i was that colour pink!!! (I hate pink!) and it's too happy for day 51 of this lock-down shit! I don't think many people are happy or smiling about it!

Yep i am so tired it is stupid. The kids are fine and doing their work and not really had too many arguments or problems, but i have no energy and need sleep - like a weeks worth! Anyone who is interested in this position please send me your details along with alcohol and chocolate whilst i ponder who is going to get the job! It's fairly easy as the boys sort themselves out when up and just ask for the odd bit of help etc. i'm quite lucky on this line as i've seen many posts on FB where parents are moaning like mad that the kids won't do work or anything.

It is like the image below left - i spend all day yawning and saying i'm tired and when i go to bed it's like *ping* haha, i'm joking you're not tired and not going to sleep! And i'm awake for ages!

Me and B have done some more VE day bits - this time for the window cleaner who paid us for some as he couldn't find any in shops. We just need to put the gazebo up (to protect us and the music player if it rains) and then decorate it!

DAY 52 - Thursday 7th May 2020

Oh yes, waiting and waiting. Waiting for this to end (no idea when it will be), waiting for more information from the government (apparently on Sunday there is a new announcement), waiting for something exciting to happen!

I have soooooo been the person in this picture (not literally as he's a coloured man and i'm a white lady - i'm not being racist). BUT i have spent many a day telling the boys to get off their phones and/or laptops and go outside to get fresh air or do something. And now, i'm telling them the opposite, not that they are really wanting to go outside (except B, he LOVES being outside and it doesn't matter the weather!). This is going to be so confusing for many children and teenagers in the future, and possibly hard as they have become used to this way of life.

i wish that this would be my phone - for whatever reason it has decided that it is only going to part charge at night. gggrrrrrrr! not good. i don't know if the cats are catching the wire as they fight etc or what. but a fully charged phone is something i've not seen in days, unless i plug it it downstairs when i am up.

The rest of the decorations are made and up, the gazebo, now known as an air raid shelter is up in the garden and more "tommies" have appeared! It looks really good. The cakes have been made ready and we have been told the police are going to fine people who are celebrating!!! what a joke!

DAY 53 - Friday 8th May 2020

This could be today after eating loads pf food and mixing drinks (alcoholic), BUT not for me. I'm good!

The 2 pics below represent how things actually are, the 1st couldn't be more acurate, top part in 1944 the young were enlisted as soldiers etc to fight in WW2 and save the world, the lower is of what people in 2020 are being asked to do to save the world and most cant manage it. The 2nd pic is of VE day.

We decorated the house and garden with bunting, banners and all sorts to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the war ending. We had put invites in neighbours doors for them to "join us" from their own gardens to celebrate (some did). We had music from war era to modern blasting out all afternoon, we had food and a nice few hours. The police kept going by (to check social distancing etc) and the kids kept waving at them them. The fire brigade went past and the kids waved and they set sirens off for them. Many neighbours had decorations up but didnt come outside.

DAY 54 - Saturday 9th May 2020

This poor sad frog in a haz-mat suit sums up how most people are feeling right now linked to cv19 and staying at home. Sad, no idea of what day, date, month or time it is and no real purpose anymore.

The pic to the right is correct - instead of planting trees spread a nasty  disease and kill off the population. The UK death toll alone is near this figure as it's at 31,587, and worldwide it stands at 280,986 almost ten times the figure stated. These are scary numbers and are nowhere near what the final figures are going to look like! And if the papers are correct it could be near 1million as they think will be around until 2024 and that includes social distancing.

These 2 pics are both really a true statement and sum things up in an easy to grasp way, but its a very sad fact that so many people don't/can't/won't understand this simple thing - STAY THE F*CK AT HOME!!! Yes, it's driving me mad not being able to see my close friends BUT i'd rather know they are alive and we can meet after all of this ends than never see them again because they are DEAD!

Today has been nice and sunny again, I sat out in the garden under a thick fleecy blanket.....no i've NOT lost the plot (totally), i was sewing badges onto it for B. Whilst doing this i didn't have shoes or socks on and managed to burn my feet! OMG! Lesson learnt apply sun cream to them.

We had a bbq for tea and didn't send too many smoke signals. lol. After this i came in and sat looking at badges/patches and have found loads more linked to cv19 that i have ordered to go on mine and Bs blankets.

DAY 55 - Sunday 10th May 2020

HAHAHAHA!!! It's not knackered umbrellas but gazebos, flags and bunting.

I learnt something new today - there are two 5 o'clocks in a day, 1 is at 5am and i don't like this hour! Thanks to the high winds and my bunting hitting the windows loudly i was woken up, and a good job too, i looked out the window to see my gazebo learning funky new dance moves (or at least i think it was, it may just have been fighting against the wind not to leave my garden). So, me and J both in pj's are in the garden trying to get it down against the wind and in the house in one piece!

I'm guessing many houses that didn't have decorations up for VE Day may now have some as i've seen many posts on FB stating "if i had known it was going to get this windy i would have taken my decorations down" and "if you see my flag please can you return it" etc. Luckily we have only lost a few hand made posters.

Thanks to such an early start today is being run on coffee and red bull! I did go back to sleep after rescuing the gazebo and got up at 12:53pm.

This evening the Prime Minister (BOJO) announced the lockdown changes and its safe to say it's going to end badly! Am I the only person that see's BOJO's "plan" from this eve as a massive cluster fuck that is going to go wrong???Spain announced earlier that their death toll has gone back up since lifting lockdown. UK is going to be the same or worse. IDIOTS couldn't follow the stay at home rules, so now they got bit of freedom they gona ignore the rules even more! It's safe to say B won't be going back to school on 1st june, he wont be back until i know its safe. Why haven't the government re-opened parliment yet??? cos it's not safe to do so, yet they are prepared to let innocent kids possibly get infected and die! Real smart!!!

DAY 56 - Monday 11th May 2020

This reminds me of an advert from the 1980's or 90's when the guy stands up with his arms spread to each side and says "I want to be a tree!" Bit random but each to their own i guess.

Covid 19,  CV19, Coronavirus whatever you want to call it has got to be the longest lasting thing that has ever been made in China! Most things don't last this long!

Oh yes! This was J today, he stole a crunchie chocolate bar - he didn't ask me if he could have it, just took it and ate it. When i told him off he said it was "his kitchen as he was cooking in it". I proceeded to tell him that he was being suspended from school for stealing it and got "well i dont like the new school much anyway!" Gee thanks, i'm doing my best - good job he's in college and they are setting all of his work.

Apart this not much has happened today. The UK is still not sure what is going on linked to BOJO last night and some seem it's best to ignore him and carry on as we were doing.

And NO, this is NOT a pic of me, my hair isn't that long or that colour!
